Abstract :

This project presents the overall design of 1 Phase induction motor System with low cost and wireless system. It specifically focuses on the development of an IOT based induction motor system that is able to control various components via internet or be automatically programmed to operate from ambient conditions. In this project, we design the development of a firmware for smart control which can successfully be automated minimizing human interaction to preserve the integrity within whole electrical devices in the home. • We used Node MCU, a popular open source IOT platform, to execute the process of automation. Different components of the system will use different transmission mode that will be implemented to communicate the control of the devices by the user through Node MCU to the actual appliance.

Abstract :

In this paper, a three-phase multilevel cascaded H-bridge inverter is developed for injecting renewables power energy into the grid through a filter. The main contribution of this work is to reduce the total harmonic distortion (THD) by using a passive filter and to enhance the output voltages by adopting a multicarrier pulse width modulation (MCPWM & NPC). The simulation results affirm a good performance of the proposed multicarrier PWM & NPC control using a three-phase five-level inverter. The proposed inverter is tested as well as the THD and the spectral analysis of the output voltage are calculated using Simulink/Matlab software. Abstract :

Water is the prime most factors which holds life on earth. The availability of water varies among different places. In some places the quality and quantity of water obtained is not satisfactory. Due to population explosion water demand increased to its peak limit which in turn lead to scarcity of water. Many of the places in Kerala are seriously affected by these problem due to lack of an efficient water supply system. Careful examination of water sources and proper treatment of water with an efficient water supply system can overcome these problems to a great extent. In this project we have planned to design an efficient water treatment plant which makes the water useful for drinking purpose. This project deals with the design of various components of water treatment plant at Peelarmozhi , Chalakudy. The water from Kappathodu canal is directed to the pond near the site by constructing a weir across the canal and the water undergoes proper treatment before it is dispatched.

Abstract :

Abstract - Base isolation method is one of the passive seismic isolation systems commonly used in earthquake prone areas. Over the past several decades, base isolation has been considered for structures like buildings and bridges subjected to earthquake ground motion. The fundamental principle of base isolation is to modify the response of the building so that the ground can move below the building without transmitting these motions into the building. In this project, analysis is performed on RC residential building. The design and analysis of building is done using computer program ETABS. The performance of the considered building with and without base isolator is studied. The main objective is to compare efficiency of fixed base and isolated base building. The rubber bearings are used as a base isolation system.

Abstract :

In India, Marriage is considered as one of the most important social institutions through which society perpetuates as it is a means of establishing family relations. This social institution is expressed in many forms of rituals and ceremonies. Child marriage is a major sociological problem that has persisted for centuries in India, more so in Northern States. In India, around 45 percent of the girls are wedded below 18 years of age. Majority girls who are married before 18 years of age are from poor families. Most of the girls use to face problems like domestic violence, teen pregnancy problems. The age group under 18 years has a high fertility. When a young girl becomes sexually mature, she is married off and is expected to accomplish what she was biologically designed for i.e giving birth. Teenage pregnancy is the occurrence of pregnancy in females under the age of twenty. Sometimes, even pre-teen females can become pregnant, as reported in various instances. With Modernization, while teenage pregnancy rate is rapidly declining in developed countries, it is still high in developing countries like India. This paper explains both the concepts of child marriage and teenage pregnancy.

Abstract :

Rehabilitation and strengthening of old structures using advanced materials is a contemporary research in the field of Structural Engineering. Over the past decades, much research has been carried out on shear and flexural strengthening of concrete beams using different types of fiber reinforced polymers and adhesives. Strengthening of old structures is necessary to obtain an expected life span. Such a method of strengthening of old structures by the help of new technology is termed as ' retrofitting '. Life span of Concrete structures may be reduced due to many reasons, such as deterioration of concrete and development of surface cracks due to ingress of chemical agents, abrasion and cavitation in hydraulic structures caused by fast moving water, improper design and unexpected external lateral loads such as wind or seismic forces acting on a structure, while are also the reason for failure of structural members. High tensile strength of specific fibers like glass fibers, carbon fibers etc. found it's application in increasing the strength of new Concrete structures as well as strengthening of older and worn out structures.

Abstract :

The development of the fashionable grid has crystal rectifier to associate degree increasing quality within the study of power systems, and conjointly presents new challenges to grid stability, and specially, to the aspects of transient stability and small-signal stability. thus grid engineers square measure presently facing challenges to extend the facility transfer capabilities of existing gear. this is often wherever the versatile AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) technology comes into impact with comparatively low investment, compared to new transmission or generation facilities. versatile AC gear (FACTS) devices use power natural philosophy elements to take care of controllability and capability of electric power system. The paper aims towards the performance of UPFC is compared with alternative FACTS devices like Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC), Thyristor Controlled Series electrical device (TCSC), and Static volt-ampere Compensator (SVC) severally. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the UPFC on transient stability of the system.

Abstract :

This paper present colorful causes of voltage problem stability and how this can be alleviate by integration of power electronics grounded Data technology. Data bias are using since 1970 and till date, because of rapid-fire and accurate corrective action for voltage stability improvement. This composition giving a review of developments of Data technolog and its operation for performance improvement of system. Pundits bandy graces and limitations of multitudinous Data and its integrations in different modes for enhancement of voltage profile at all motorcars. Authors find UPFC is a most protean Data tool because of its capability to control, all three parameters similar as voltage, impedance and phase angle. Authors demonstrate the different models and their capabilities of UPFC and its operation in different condition.
