Abstract :

This paper presents careful analysis of versatile AC transmission (FACTS) i.e. UPFC and SVC. Effects of UPFC and SVC on the system voltage profiles and reactive power compensation square measure analyzed exploitation MATLAB simulation. during this work, Newton-Raphson load flow algorithmic rule is employed and steady state models of FACTS square measure used for the analysis. Voltage profile improvement and reactive power capability at each bus with mentioned FACTS devices square measure shown in results for IEEE nine, fourteen and thirty bus systems.
