Abstract :

The AI-Driven Speed Breaker Detection and Alert System aims to improve road safety by detecting road hazards such as speed breakers, potholes, and damaged roads surfaces in real time. The system uses a camera-based approach combined with the YOLOv8 deep learning model to analyze live video frames. The model identifies road anomalies under various lighting and environmental conditions and provides timely alerts to the driver. The system generates both visual and audio warnings, helping to reduce accidents, prevent sudden braking, and enhance driving comfort. This approach demonstrates the effective use of computer vision and artificial intelligence in intelligent transportation systems.
