Abstract :

Employee engagement plays a critical role in workforce retention, particularly in manufacturing industries, where skilled labor is a key asset. This study examines the employee engagement strategies at Larsen & Toubro (L&T) – Construction , Chennai, and their impact on workforce retention. The research employs a descriptive approach, gathering data through surveys and interviews with employees. The findings indicate that recognition programs, career development opportunities, and effective communication significantly enhance engagement levels, leading to higher retention rates. The study also identifies challenges such as work-life balance concerns and limited career progression opportunities. The research concludes with recommendations for improving engagement strategies to foster long-term employee retention.
