DESIGN OF INTELLIGENT HELMET FOR COAL MINERS
Abstract
A smart helmet has been developed that is able to detect of hazardous events in the mines industry. In the development of helmet, we have considered the three main types of hazard such as air quality, helmet removal, and collision (miners are struck by an object). The first is the concentration level of the hazardous gases such as CO, SO2, NO2, DHT temperature and Humidity and particulate matter. The second hazardous event was classified as a miner removing the mining helmet off their head. The layout of the visualisation software was completed, however the implementation was unsuccessful. Tests were successfully done to calibrate the accelerometer. PCB’s that were designed and made included a breakout board and a prototype board. A whole software implementation was done based on Eagle of the measuring of sensors and of calculations done with the measured values. This paper presents the undertaken design detailing solutions to issues raised in previous research.

Comparative Analysis For With And Without Elastomeric Base Isolated Structure Using E-Tabs
Abstract
Abstract - Base isolation method is one of the passive seismic isolation systems commonly used in earthquake prone areas. Over the past several decades, base isolation has been considered for structures like buildings and bridges subjected to earthquake ground motion. The fundamental principle of base isolation is to modify the response of the building so that the ground can move below the building without transmitting these motions into the building. In this project, analysis is performed on RC residential building. The design and analysis of building is done using computer program ETABS. The performance of the considered building with and without base isolator is studied. The main objective is to compare efficiency of fixed base and isolated base building. The rubber bearings are used as a base isolation system.

THE UNSPOKEN CONSEQUENCES OF CHILD MARRIAGE AND ADOLOSCENT PREGNANCY
Abstract
In India, Marriage is considered as one of the most important social institutions through which society perpetuates as it is a means of establishing family relations. This social institution is expressed in many forms of rituals and ceremonies. Child marriage is a major sociological problem that has persisted for centuries in India, more so in Northern States. In India, around 45 percent of the girls are wedded below 18 years of age. Majority girls who are married before 18 years of age are from poor families. Most of the girls use to face problems like domestic violence, teen pregnancy problems. The age group under 18 years has a high fertility. When a young girl becomes sexually mature, she is married off and is expected to accomplish what she was biologically designed for i.e giving birth. Teenage pregnancy is the occurrence of pregnancy in females under the age of twenty. Sometimes, even pre-teen females can become pregnant, as reported in various instances. With Modernization, while teenage pregnancy rate is rapidly declining in developed countries, it is still high in developing countries like India. This paper explains both the concepts of child marriage and teenage pregnancy.

AIR AND SOUND POLLUTION MONITORING SYSTEM BY USING IOT
Abstract
The growing of air and sound pollution is one of the major issues faced by people these days. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor air quality as well as sound pollution and keep it under control for a better future and healthy living for all. So, we’ve proposed an air and sound pollution monitoring system that allows us to monitor and check air quality as well as sound pollution in a particular area through Internet of Things. This system works on the methods of IOT which is a rising technology based on the fusion of electronics and computer science. The monitored data can be obtained from remote location without actually visiting it due to the access of internet. System uses gas as well as noise sensors to sense presence of harmful gases and sound in the air and constantly transmit this data to microcontroller. The sensors interact with microcontroller which processes this data and transmits it over internet. This allows authorities to monitor air and noise pollution in different areas. Therefore, through this system any authority can keep watch on the noise pollution near schools, hospitals etc, and if system detects air quality and noise issues it alerts authorities so they can take measures to control the issue. This project can be used to reduce the pollution which may affect the environment.

Design of Agro Waste Bricks for Tribal Regions
Abstract
Agro waste which is increasing day by day becomes eyesore and in turn pollutes the environment, especially in villages where no waste disposal system exists. A large amount of agro waste is being generated into the tribal regions are discarded or burned which leads to the contamination of environment and air. Hence, these waste are to be effectively utilized. Agro Waste are added with soil at particular percentages to obtain high strength bricks that possess thermal and sound insulation properties to control pollution and to reduce the overall cost of construction; this is one of the best ways to avoid the accumulation of agro waste. The agro waste is naturally generated in surplus quantity and hence the cost factor comes down. Hence in this thesis, an attempt is made to study regard the properties of the brick which is manufactured using agro wastes. The present work deals with the manufacturing and analysis of bricks made with waste and soil. The bricks produced are light weight, have smooth surface and fine edges, do not have cracks and have high crushing strength and very low water absorption.

Crime Analysis and Prediction Using Data
Abstract
In this era of recent times, crime has become an evident way of making people and society under trouble. An increasing crime factor leads to an imbalance in the constituency of a country. In order to analyse and have a response ahead this type of criminal activities, it is necessary to understand the crime patterns. This study imposes one such crime pattern analysis by using crime data obtained from Kaggle open source which in turn used for the prediction of most recently occurring crimes. The major aspect of this project is to estimate which type of crime contributes the most along with time period and location where it has happened. Some machine learning algorithms such as Naïve Bayes is implied in this work in order to classify among various crime patterns and the accuracy achieved was comparatively high when compared to pre- composed works.

Automatic Power Factor Detection And Correction using Aurdino
Abstract
This project is mainly proposed for reducing the power loss in industries by using power factor compensation through a number of shunt capacitors. Power factor is defined as the ratio of real power to apparent power. So, the increase in reactive power (real power) increases the apparent power , so the power factor also decreases. By having low power factor
the industry needs more energy to meet its demand, so the efficiency decreases. In this system
we proposed the time lag between zero voltage pulse and zero current pulse delay generated by suitable op-amp circuits in comparator mode and fed into two interrupt pins in microcontroller. Microcontroller displays the power loss due to inductive load on the LCD. This process is continuously actuate until the power loss would be zero by using relays which is used to bring the shunt capacitors into load circuit. 8-bit microcontroller is used in this project which belongs to AVR family.

DESIGN OF WATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR DINDORI TALUKA BY KOMVEE SOFTWARE
Abstract
Water is the prime most factors which holds life on earth. The availability of water varies among different places. In some places the quality and quantity of water obtained is not satisfactory. Due to population explosion water demand increased to its peak limit which in turn lead to scarcity of water. Many of the places in Kerala are seriously affected by these problem due to lack of an efficient water supply system. Careful examination of water sources and proper treatment of water with an efficient water supply system can overcome these problems to a great extent. In this project we have planned to design an efficient water treatment plant which makes the water useful for drinking purpose. This project deals with the design of various components of water treatment plant at Peelarmozhi , Chalakudy. The water from Kappathodu canal is directed to the pond near the site by constructing a weir across the canal and the water undergoes proper treatment before it is dispatched.
