Sustainable Banking Models Inspired by Ancient Indian Economic Thought
Nehal Juniwal, Yasha Suresh, Varsha M
This paper examines the potential for integrating ancient Indian economic thought into 21st-century sustainable banking practices to develop a more resilient and ethically based financial system. The study shows the current limitations of the banking sector (and finance in general) with respect to ESG, and recommends a new approach based on a hybrid of ethics, governance, and technology to achieve greater long-term sustainability and inclusiveness.
