Unlike public cellular networks, private 5G provides complete control over network setup, security, and service quality, making it ideal for industries with mission-critical operations. This paper surveys the fundamental components and architecture of private 5G networks, various deployment strategies including standalone and hybrid models, and the regulatory considerations around spectrum allocation. It highlights real-world applications across sectors like manufacturing, mining, healthcare, and logistics, where reliable real-time data exchange is essential.
