Abstract :

This study investigates the role of goal setting in performance management within the garment industry. With a labor-intensive and productivity-driven environment, the industry requires effective tools to enhance employee motivation and organizational performance. The research aims to explore how goal setting influences employee focus, job satisfaction, and overall productivity. Using a quantitative research design and statistical tools such as chi-square tests and regression analysis, the study analyzes data from 100 respondents across various departments. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship between goal-setting and employee motivation, performance, and job satisfaction. The study recommends the adoption of structured goal-setting frameworks like SMART goals, inclusive workforce development, and regular performance monitoring to foster a motivated and high-performing workforce. The conclusions underscore goal-setting as a critical component for sustainable growth and employee development in the garment sector.
