Abstract :
In today’s dynamic work environment, achieving a balance between professional and personal life is a crucial concern for employees and organizations alike. This study explores the relationship between Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Work-Life Balance (WLB) among employees at Sutherland Global Services. Emotional Intelligence, which involves the ability to recognize, understand, and manage emotions, plays a significant role in handling workplace stress and fostering positive relationships. However, findings from this research suggest that while EI helps employees manage stress, its direct impact on WLB is weak, with organizational policies, workload, and family responsibilities being the primary influencing factors. The study employs a descriptive research design, analyzing data from a sample of 376 employees using statistical tools such as percentage analysis, chi-square, and correlation analysis. The results indicate that gender does not significantly affect WLB priorities, and there is a moderate positive correlation between EI and WLB. Based on these insights, the study recommends workplace interventions such as flexible work arrangements, stress management programs, and supportive organizational policies to enhance employees’ ability to balance work and personal life. This research provides valuable insights for organizations seeking to improve employee well-being, productivity, and job satisfaction through effective HR strategies.
