Abstract :
This study explores how peer pressure influences academic motivation and procrastination among college students, particularly those studying currently. It looks at both positive and negative peer influences to understand how they shape students' academic habits—whether they stay motivated or tend to put off tasks. The research involved 215 students, chosen through simple random sampling to ensure a diverse mix of participants. Using validated measurement tools, the study found a strong link between peer pressure and procrastination, with academic motivation playing a key role in this relationship. These findings offer valuable insights for educators and policymakers seeking to develop strategies that reduce procrastination and boost students' motivation in college settings.
