Abstract :

Software development or software engineering has certainly moved to new levels of excellence with the effective syncing of artificial intelligence and human effort. This paper investigates the evolving impact of AI-human collaboration (hybrid intelligence) with a due focus on the role of AI agents and human participants in software development. It analyzes how teams take on AI, use AI to assist in programming, collaborate on projects, resolve issues, and perform other similar tasks. Though research indicates that AI is useful in multiple ways, and plays a key role in programming, code optimization, and problem-solving, human oversight is going to be pivotal for enhanced and secured development. This research paper attempts to highlight current challenges inherent in implementing HAIC in large-scale software development projects, the limitations, and capabilities of AI, and how HAIC may continue to be the driving force for the development of more powerful, user-friendly, and scalable software solutions. The research also evidences how human teams can interact with AI agents to improve an operation which is currently deemed as essential for superfast development in any dynamic software engineering environment. It also provides insights into the importance of strategizing the AI-human role in modern software development to eventually leverage the full potential of AI-human synergy in engineering smarter solutions.
